现今时代是人类社会从信息时代过渡到智能时代的关键时代。无线网络作为任何型式的无线电计算机网络,其技术是实现智能生活的主要技术手段。在智慧城市建设中,需要用到无线城域网,它通过信息传感设备,按约定的协议,将任何物体与网络相连接,以实现智能化识别、定位、跟踪、监管等功能;在智能家居中,需要用到无线传感器网络获取家庭环境信息。在这些无线网络中,数据传输的可靠性和实时性是非常重要的,这需要网络具有良好性能的MAC协议。轮询接入MAC协议是一种非竞争的控制方式,它为用户分配固定的信道资源,在数据通信过程中,得到发送权的用户独享分配到的信道资源,从而使网络实现信息的无冲突传输。由于特有的无冲突传输方式,基于轮询的MAC协议一直是无线网络研究的热点。
《无线网络中的轮询控制系统研究及应用(英文)》针对现有无线网络中MAC协议的优点和不足,在基本轮询接入控制方式的基础上,对其服务方式进行了创新等
